The Chair must provide leadership for the Department in all areas:
curriculum development and assessment, recruitment of faculty,
staff, and students, participation in university and community affairs,
and fund-raising.
Required Qualifications include an appropriate terminal degree in
Theatre or Dance, teaching experience, and creative/scholarly
achievement to warrant a tenured appointment. Prefer experience
administering nationally accredited Theatre and Dance programs in
the context of an urban research institution, extensive
scholarly/creative record, and qualifications sufficient for
