Oklahoma City University seeks a Provost and Vice President for Academic A;airs to provide dynamic and
innovative leadership for academic programs, student recruitment and retention, and faculty development.
The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in a discipline associated with the university and a
distinguished record of academic accomplishment in teaching, scholarship, service, and administration in
higher education. The Provost and Vice President for Academic A;airs reports to the president and serves
as the university’s chief academic o;cer providing leadership and oversight for all schools and colleges of
Oklahoma City University, several academic support o;ces, and enrollment services.
A private liberal arts institution founded in 1904 and a;liated with the United Methodist Church,
Oklahoma City University o;ers more than 60 undergraduate majors and 12 graduate degree programs,
with professional schools in law, business, nursing, dance/arts management, music, and theatre. Rec-

A master’s degree is required, with a doctorate preferred, in higher
education, education, social sciences, policy analysis, or other related ;eld
with an emphasis on research design, applied quantitative and qualitative
methods and statistics. Candidates should also have at least ;ve years
of administrative experience in higher education (preferably institutional
research), including substantial knowledge of higher education issues,
as well as experience with qualitative and quantitative research design,
implementation and analysis.

Theater/Drama: Assistant/Associate Pro-

or first author peer-reviewed national jour-
nal articles or books, and conference papers
and/or single or co-author of plays produced
by significant professional regional theaters
and production companies. Duties: Success-
ful candidates would be expected to teach
three courses per semester in the under-
graduate and graduate areas, and through
indirect teaching mentor and supervise
graduate and undergraduate playwrights,
serve on thesis and dissertation committees,
maintain an active agenda of research and/
or creative activity, and serve on departmen-
